Hikaya Vintage Rugs

At Hikaya Woven, every rug we source is an authentic vintage piece — a one-of-a-kind item handwoven by skilled women from Berber tribes and traditional artisan communities across Morocco. These rugs originate from regions known for their distinct weaving techniques, passed down through generations.

Each piece we curate is a legacy — handwoven using traditional techniques, natural dyes, standing the test of time. No two rugs are the same, and each one carries cultural significance, symbolism and a connection to the people who made it and the place they were created.

Most of our pieces are between 30 to 80 years old. Over time, each rug has developed its own character, with softened colours, worn patterns, and small imperfections that reflect its age and use. These features are not flaws — they are signs of the rug's story and craftsmanship.

We focus on reclaiming and reusing existing pieces rather than producing new ones. This not only reduces environmental impact, but also supports sustainable, circular design. By giving these rugs a second life, we help preserve a traditional art form while offering our customers a meaningful and lasting addition to their home.

We work closely with collectors and artisan families across Morocco and beyond to uncover rugs that hold depth, history, and soul. These are not factory-made textiles. They are living heirlooms — bearing the marks of matriarchal craftsmanship and tribal identity, woven one knot at a time.

Every rug in our collection is chosen not for trend, but for timelessness. Not for replication, but for authenticity. We honour the imperfections that come with age, the signs of hands that worked with care, and the quiet power of pieces that have travelled through generations.

At Hikaya Woven, we don't just collect rugs.
We preserve the stories woven into them.
