About Our Vintage Rugs

Our vintage rugs are carefully hand-selected in Morocco for their craftsmanship, integrity, and quiet beauty. Most pieces are approximately 30–40+ years old, bearing the marks of time that give them depth, warmth, and a beautiful worn patina.

Every Moroccan rug carries a story — woven by the skilled hands of women whose knowledge is passed down through generations. Rich in symbolism and crafted with enduring care, each piece holds a narrative expressed through pattern, colour, and texture.

No two rugs are ever the same. Each is entirely one of one, and once a piece leaves our collection, it cannot be replicated.

Before making their journey to Australia, every rug is traditionally hand-washed in Morocco and naturally sun-dried on the rooftops of Marrakech — a slow, gentle process that cleans and revives the fibres while honouring the original weave.

As with all vintage textiles, subtle variations, signs of wear, or small imperfections may be present. These details are not flaws, but part of the rug’s narrative — a reflection of its age, history, and handmade nature. Each piece is perfectly imperfect, designed to be lived with and loved - worn in all the right places.
